Is OSHA is effective?

studies said that even within the boundaries set by the political forces, OSHA can urge vast changes in health and safety practices when directed at certain workplace settings. Minimizing occupational injuries, victims and illnesses therefore requires deploying OSHA's limited resources and probable regulatory tools strategically. At the same time, improved workplace health and safety must also depends on other workplace agents and incentives, given that the resources and authority provided to OSHA are unexpectedly to change in the near future.

Mcwane

McWane mainly wanted to close out all competition in Canada and in unethical way. McWane also has a completely oppose for their employees safety. They have a model of “reduce human hours per ton,” they want output to at a maximum but with as small budget as possible.

They have had 9 employees die and over 4,000 reported injuries. McWane discipline management practice has earned them one of the most dangerous jobs to work for. Everyone think of humanity concern but Mcwane couldn't able to.

• First of all McWane needs a sense of social responsibility and needs to take care of their employees.

• McWane has been illegally dumping toxic run off water and does not give any training to their employees.

Regardless receiving number of OSHA violations.misdemeanors they are still operating.

• McWane needs to stop their mistakes and monopolizing the Canadian market, should provide employee safety, and follow environmental health codes

Plant management is also called as operations management in the organization. Which works on the labour power and machine output of the company.

• Capacity planning on machine and labor

• Work schedule making to complete production on time.

• Inventory management is the main role of plant management.

• Plant layout strategies in factory.

• Functional process of the organisation in healthy way.

• Quality assurance team are with plant management.
