Describe an example of noise and explain how it might impact a selling situation. How could a salesperson handle it?
1st part:
Example:
Noise can be of many forms but in terms of business perspectives, it lowers the efficiency of business communication.
Suppose, a banker has given certain responsibilities to grow clients for increasing branch selling process by opening a current account and savings account. With the leads generated the banker takes the way to reach points for closing the leads.
Basically, the customer asks for
their self-desired location and to the closing such leads, the
banker visits those places. It is not surely known to the banker
about the place of orientation.
Once meeting with customer it requires making them understand better for taking the bank products. But, if the noise comes in between the process then it may be difficult to convince the clients to fulfill the leads. Surrounding noise will make the sender difficult to throw a message to the receiver. The intent of such a process may not be fulfilled and for noise it will result in affecting the leads to make it fulfill.
Impact of selling situation:
The selling situation will affect a lot if establishing communication does not occur in a proper way. With breakable interaction and external disturbance of noise factor, it may lead to having many psychological changes in the mind of the customer. The selling person may face difficulties to convey all sorts of valuable points decided to position for grabbing the customer's mind. Entirely, the noise will create obstruction while convincing customers and the impact may stand negative in selling situations to acquire the leads.
2nd part:
Handling process:
For the salesperson, it is necessary to handle leads very carefully. It is basically the customer who chooses to meet at their desired places. The salesperson is required to do basic research on those places and after checking if it is found that place is not soothing or congested then an alternative has to be informed to the customers. The salesperson can arrange other places like in a coffee shop or hotel as per the convenience of the customer, it will avoid noise and convincing may become advantageous. It will make the fulfillment of the leads to get closed successfully and thus the impact of the process can be expected to obtain a fruitful outcome.
