Protrusion of eye balls termed as Exophthalmos or Proptosis, in this condition one or both the eyes bulges or protrudes, caused because of hyperthyroidism - Graves disease disorder due to overactivity of thyroid gland. Proptosis is a stage of Graves Ophthalmopathy, inflammation and other immune disorders affects the tissues around the eyes.
