Molefraction of a component(x1) = n1 / (n1+n2+n3+.....etc)

No of mol of ammonia(n1) = 12.5/17 = 0.735 mol

No of mol of water(n2) = 500/18 = 27.8 mol

nTotal = n1+n2 = 0.735+27.8 = 28.535 mol

molefraction of ammonia = n1/ntotal = 0.735/28.535 = 0.0258
