In plants, Glucose is formed by photosynthesis whose reaction is :

6CO2 + 6H2O -> C6H12O6 + 6O2

Thus, 1 mole glucose require 6 mole H2O

180 g glucose require 6×18 = 108 g H2O

12.6 g glucose require 108×12.6/180 g H2O

= 7.56 g H2O
