The balanced chemical reaction for the photosynthesis is:

6CO, +6H,OẠC,H,O, +60,

According to the balanced reaction:

6 moles of water consume 6 moles of CO2.

Thus,1 mole of water will consume 1 mole of CO2.

Molar mass of H2O is 18.01 g/mol.

Molar mass of CO2 is 44.01 g/mol.

18.01 g of water will consume = 44.01 g of CO, 44.01 36 g of water will consume == x 36 18.01 = 87.97 g of CO2 = 88 g of CO2

Thus amount of CO2 consumed by 36 g of water is 88 g.
