this is because 2 hexene is a non polar molecule as it is a hydrocarbon chain , while ethanol (C2H5OH ) is a polar molecule . so, it will not soluble in it . because polarity must match with solubility for any type of interactions . LIKE DISSOLVE LIKE is the key of solubility
