can you help me calculate the theoretical yield calculations for 2 methoxyphenol and 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol
1. Theoretical yield calculation for 2-mehoxyphenol:
2-mehoxyphenol is 550microlitre used that is 0.550gm used which gives 0.004430 mol =4.430mmol.
Molar mass of Guaifenesin is 198.21g/mol.and molar mass of 2-methoxyphenol is 124.14g/mol.
So, 198.21/124.14=1.5966*0.550=0.8781gm.
Hence , Theoretical yield for 2-mehoxyphenol is 0.8781gm.
2. Theoretical yield calculation for 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol:
3-chloro-1,2-propanediol is 500microlitre used that is 0.500gm used which gives 0.004523mol =4.4523mmol.
Molar mass of Guaifenesin is 198.21g/mol.and molar mass of 3-chloro-1,2propanediol is 110.24g/mol.
So, 198.21/110.24=1.7979*0.500=0.8989gm.
Hence , Theoretical yield for 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol is 0.8989gm.
