Mass of CH3OH = 29.3 g

Volume of Solution = 230 mL

The moles of CH3OH –

We know the formula,


  Given mass Moles = Molar Mass

By plugging the values,

  Moles of CH2OH(9) = 29.3 9 CH2OH(9) -= 0.914 moles . 32.04 not

The Molarity of CH3OH –

We know the formula,

  Moles Molarity – Volume(L)

The volume in L –

We know, 1 mL= 0.001 L

So 230 mL = 0.230 L

  0.914 moles (CH2OH) = 0.230 L -= 3.98 M

Thus, the concentration of CH3OH in molarity is 3.98 M
