Trial-1:-

(9) Moles of acetylsalicylic acid in sample = Moles of NaOH used for titrating a complete sample.

Moles of acetylsalicylic acid in sample = 0.02701 mole

(10) Mass of acetylsalicylic acid in a sample = moles * molar mass

Mass of acetylsalicylic acid = (0.02701 mol )*(180.158 g/mol)

Mass of acetylsalicylic acid = 4.866 g

(11) Amount of acetylsalicylic acid per tablet = 0.403 g

Trial-2:-

(9) Moles of acetylsalicylic acid in sample = Moles of NaOH used for titrating a complete sample.

Moles of acetylsalicylic acid in sample = 0.02696 mole

(10) Mass of acetylsalicylic acid in a sample = moles * molar mass

Mass of acetylsalicylic acid = (0.02696 mol )*(180.158 g/mol)

Mass of acetylsalicylic acid = 4.866 g

(11) Amount of acetylsalicylic acid per tablet = 0.404 g

(12) Mean amount of acetylsalicylic acid per tablet = (trial-1 + trial-2)/2

Mean amount = (0.403 g + 0.404 g)/2

Mean amount= 0.4035 g
