1. The respiration process which takes place in the absence of oxygen is known as anaerobic respiration or fermentation. An organic compound which is glucose is the most essential compound for the process of fermentation. The fuit juices contains a simple sugar fructose (monosaccharide) which is like glucose and is principally used in fuit juices during fermentation. But also yeast is also used for fermentation of fruit juice. Fermentation resluts in the production of alcohol like ethanol, lactic acid, mainly carbon dioxide gas and hydrogen gas in some cases. But generally alcohol (Ethanol) and carbon dioxide gas is produced after fermentation of fruit juice by yeast.

2. The air (mainly Oxygen gas) which is present everywhere can ruin the process of fermentation. Also if we will rovide a cold climate than also the microbes causing fermentation will be deactivated hence ruining the process of fermentation.

3.During wine production by yeast hydrogen sulfide gas is released. The yeast absorb sulfur dioxide from the atmosphere during fermentation and may release hydrogen sulfide gas after reducing the sulfur dioxide gas. Also the sulphate present in the fruit used for wine preparation are also accumulated by the yeast and are reduced to its intermediate compund hudrogen sulfide which is released to the atmosphere.

4. Fermentation is not an efficient method for enrgy production. As in fermentation process 2 ATP are produced from a glucose molecule while in aerobic respiration about 38 ATP are produced from a single glucose molecule.

5.Food produced by fermentationa re kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir and yogurt. Yogurt is my favourite because of its taste and also it is an energy giving food good for health.
