Initially the bulbs are glowing if switch is closed the bulb \(\mathrm{A}\) is brighter because the resistance of the circuit is decreases. So, current passing through the circuit.

The bulb \(\mathrm{B}\) is go out because the maximum current passing through switch, it get shorted.
