Answer #1

RBulb C M ДАМ A31 B1 let all Resistance be in When switch is close Met Resistance of circuit sue to AB + + + = RAB RAB = 1/2

As key opens, the resistance is parallel is removed and so resistance of the whole circuit increases.

We know by Ohm's law - V=IR . V is the voltage and I is the current flowing through the circuit and R is the resistance of equivalent circuit. As Resistance increases, voltage through battery is fixed , the current through the circuit will decrease and hence less current will flow through the bulb. We know P =(I^2)*R, Power through the bulb decreases . hence it will glow dim. The bulb gets dimmer.

please help with A and B If the battery in (Figure 1) were ideal, lightbulb A would not dim when the switch is closed. However, real batteries have a small internal resistance, which we can model as the 0.31 resistor shown inside the battery. In this case, the brightness of bulb A changes when the switch is closed. A 12-volt battery is connected to two light bulbs, as drawn in Figure 1. Light bulb 1 has resistance 3 ohms, while light bulb 2 has resistance 6 ohms. The battery has essentially no internal resistance, and all the wires are essentially resistanceless, too. When a light bulb is unscrewed, no current flows through that branch of the circuit. For instance, if light bulb 2 is unscrewed, current flows only around the lower loop of the circuit, which consists of...
