I need help in designing an animal that can live in Namib desert.

Establish the environmental constraints for your animal: challenges of the terrain, availability of water, average temperature and temperature fluctuations both daily and throughout the seasons, food availability, shelter availability. Create an animal that is well adapted to meet the challenges you described above. Answer #1

Answer 1 --An animal that can live in the harsh environment of the Namibia desart can be a Gemsboks or oryx.Because it can raise it's body temperature by 45℃.A network of blood vessels in their nose cools their breathing air and make the gaseous exchange .This method also cools their brain .Their under part is white therefore it reflects light and helps in cooling the body. They rest in the shadow of a tree or they turn their bodies in such a position that their body surface faces away the sun most of the times .Colouring is also acts as heat deflector. They get water from desert grown roots, tubers ,melons etc. Thus they will exchange gase and move gases around their body. Answer 2) The oryx is polygynous ,one male mating with the receptive females in the herd. They don't have any specific mating season.Pregnant female oryx leave the hard before giving birth and gave birth to 1-2 offsprings in gestation period of 9 months.

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
