Answer #1

1. Arrival of action potential to axon terminal stimulate openin of calcium channel. This causes influx of calcium ion. Calcium binds to synaptic vesicle and this leads to fusion of synaptic vesicle to axon terminal membrane. This leads to release of neurotransmitter (Acetylcholine) in synaptic cleft.

2. Acetylcholine binds to its receptor on motor end plate. This leads to depolarisation of motor end plate. This leads to influx of calcium ion within muscle cell. Calcium now binds to troponin and this causes displacement of tropomyosin from active site of actin. Myosin now bind to active site of actin by utilisation of ATP, this leads to cross bridge formation (between actin and myosin). This leads to muscle contraction.
