Give five in depth, detailed reasons why C. elegans is included in the list of model organisms used widely in research and in developmental biology. 3. High offspring number - They produce 1000 eggs per day , so we can effect and proportionate the effect of a particular drug on the organism.

4.Culture - The culture of C.elegans can be frozen and when needed ,it is defrosted and used .

5.Signalling pathways - They seems like simple organisms , but they have complex signalling pathways, just like humans , so they are a good subject for studying the same.
