Impacts of mercury as a result from air pollution where mercury travels in the air and is absorbed by plants in the tundra and then the plants die and transfer to soil which then affects POLAR BEARS and BIRDS IN TUNDRA ECOSYSTEM ( impacts could be on organisms, trophic interactions, nutrient cycles, biodiversity of the ecosystem, migration, abundance, etc!)

HAS TO BE IN TUNDRA ECOSYSTEM! Send me all articles, journals, primary literature you can find!

Answer: Since you have mainly asked for the research articles (peer-reviewed) and primary literature articles in the form of anything a person can find, I am attaching below articles as per your requirements.

1. A short article on "A better understanding of the high levels of mercury pollution in the Arctic tundra" can be found on the web link "https://phys.org/news/2018-02-high-mercury-pollution-arctic-tundra.html". This article gives a basic understanding of the mercury cycle and its role in triggering climate change.

2. A news report in ScienceDaily on "Toxic mercury is accumulating in the Arctic tundra, Study finds" can be found on the web link "https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/07/170712200217.htm". This report gives important incites in mercury contamination and its impact on the tundra region.

3. This is a very important paper published in the most prestigious journal "Nature" entitled "Tundra uptake of atmospheric elemental mercury drives Arctic mercury pollution, Nature volume 547, pages201–204(2017)". The abstract of this paper is freely available. The full-length text of this paper is also available at "https://edoc.unibas.ch/68585/1/20190118132748_5c41c6448b055.pdf"

4. An important report about the "High Mercury Levels Pose Another Setback for Arctic Birds" can be found at the web link "https://www.audubon.org/news/high-mercury-levels-pose-another-setback-arctic-birds".

5. A comprehensive article on the impact of mercury on polar bears can be found on the web link, https://www.futurity.org/mercury-may-threaten-polar-bears/".

6. This important and comprehensive research article entitled "Critical review of mercury fates and contamination in the Arctic tundra ecosystem: DOI- https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2008.06.050", published in the journal "The Science of Total Environment". The abstract of this paper is freely available on the journal website.

7. A very comprehensive peer-reviewed research article entitled, " Mercury in Arctic Marine Ecosystems: Sources, Pathways, and Exposure, Environ Res. 2012 Nov; 119: 64–87, DOI: 10.1016/j.envres.2012.08.012" in the journal "Environmental Research" will be very helpful. The good thing is it that the full-length paper is free to excess!

8. A very lengthy by but highly informative article entitled " The fate of mercury in Arctic terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, a review", published in the journal "Environmental Chemistry: CSIRO PUBLISHING" can be freely downloaded from the web link "https://www.publish.csiro.au/EN/pdf/EN11140". This should be very helpful.

I hope these 8 articles will help you. You can also download the full length papers from another proxy website "https://sci-hub.tw/". Just paste the DOI (that I have provided here) in the search box of https://sci-hub.tw/ and get excess to the full length texts. I hope this helps !!!!
