1. Galileo and Copernicus shared one thing in common - their belief and support to the helicentrc theory. Both argued that planets including earth rotate around the earth.
2. The catholic churches in middle ages believed that earth is the center of the earth with Sun and moon revolving around it. The theory and evidences given by Gelileo and copurnicus about sun being the center of earth went against the church belief. This led to the contradictions and unfortunate events that followed later.
3. Galileo argued that Bible and science represent truths and there cannot be tel truths. Bible is inspired text and science is founded on evidences and observations.
