Describe what would you look for on each of the following plants to distinguish them.

a) Monoecious plant

b) Dioecious plant

c)Imperfect flower

Ans.a). In a monoecious plants both the Male and female flower will be present in the same plant or thallus. Such plants are said to be monoecious. So we will look for the staminate and distillate flower in the same plants or thallus to be monoecious. Example is maize.

Ans.2. Dioecious :- In dioecious plants, the Male and female flowers are present on the different plant or thallus. Such plant are basically unisexual. Or the flower present in such plants are either staminate or pistillate. Example is papaya.

Ans.c. Imperfect flower:- These are those flowers that does not have both the necessory parts in the same flower. The necessory parts are the stamen and carpel. So they may be either staminate or pistillate.
