Answer #1

ANSWER 6 :-

  1. The Carbon which is associated with (-OH) is considered as the steriogenic center. It is associated with an amine group on the right side and an aromatic ring on the left side.
  2. Due to presence of Oxygen which has a higher atomic number, this carbon is given more priority as a steriogenic center and thus it acts as an enantiomer if seen as a mirror image.
  3. The images are not superimposing and hence it is considered to be chiral. So, option 'A' is the most appropriate answer.

Note :- Answer 5 should be chiral molecule as can consider an example of the second carbon atom. It has (-OH) group on left side and (-H) on the right side in view. The upper side is represented by (-CHO) group and the lower bond (side) is represented by (H-C-OH) group and thus all are different indicating that the mirror image will not be superimposing and hence chiral. This same representation occurs in case of albuterol where all the side groups of the steriogenic center are different.
