Evidence: Pollution intolerant organism can not grow in polluted water and pollution tolerant organism will grow highly in polluted water.

Evidence that stream A is less polluted than stream B:

Mayfly nymph being pollution intolerant it is growing in stream A but can not grow in polluted stream B.

Similarly, Caddis fly larva being moderately intolerant to pollution is able to grow more in less polluted stream A than highly polluted stream B.

Evidence that stream B is more polluted than stream A:

Bloodworm being moderately tolerant to pollution are growing better in polluted stream B than stream A.

Sludge worm being tolerant to pollution, growing mostly in stream B than stream A.
