1- The four steps of biofilm life cycle are -

A- Attachment - interaction between micro organism and implant

B- Accumulation - interaction between bacterial cells.

C- Maturation - Formation of viable 3D structure or biofilm.

D- Dispersal / Detachment - release from biofilm.

2- Advantages-

A- Micro organisms living in community can share nutrients between each other

B- due to protective role of extracellular matrix , biofilm provide protection to micro organisms.

C- due to living in community , biofilm act as metabolite exchange platform.
