1.cancer is a non-communicable disease cancer does not spread through using same room or by using same utensils or furniture.if the disease was communicable then the friend's mother must have been affected by breast cancer in her childhood from her mother.

2.The skin eating disease causes by bacterial infection like: Staphylococcus aureus , Staphylococcus pyogenes or by clostridium species bacteria like Clostridium perfringenes,Clostridium specticum some times fungus are also responsible for this.

Here in this case the disease was transmitted from the affected nurse via the baby blankets.So the nurse is the host and the baby blankets is the fomite.
