Hypothesis

In the presence of Sugars and less amount of oxygen, yeast cell will show fermentation and breakdown sugar into carbon dioxide and ethanol along with the release of 4 ATP molecules.

For different tubes -

1. Yeast cell will not grow appropriately because there is no sugar provided which can be used by the cell for the production of ATP. Without ATP the cell won't be able to carry out its metabolic activities.

2. Yeast cell will growth appropriately because glucose is present which will be broken down by fermentation into carbon dioxide and ethanol.

3. Ground Corn is also rich in starch. This will be broken down by yeast cells into glucose and then glucose will undergo fermentation.

4. Sugarcane is a rich source of sucrose. Sucrose will be broken down into glucose and Fructose by yeast cells. Glucose will undergo fermentation.

5. The yeast cells will also grow in this medium because the cereals are rich in starch and starch will be broken down into glucose which will be then undergone fermentation.

Fermentation produces carbon dioxide.
