Answer #1

Most to least acidic- lysosomes- 4.5, mitochondrial matrix- 8.0, ER- 9.0, Golgi- 11-13

2. D. GTP

3. A. Coat protein- 3. clatharin- performs in shaping rounded vesicles in cytoplasm for intracellular trafficking. The clatharin coated vesicles target selectively at cell membrane, endosomal compartments etc.. Clatharin mediated endocytosis is a vesicular transport which facilitates internalization and recycling of the receptors which include signal transduction pathways, synaptic vesicle formation etc..

B. Rab- vesicle movement across actin and tubulin networks by which cell surface proteins are trafficked from golgi to plasma membrane and are recycled back.

C. adaptor proteins- binds to clatharin and membrane bound cargo receptors. they mediate membrane trafficking along endocytic and secretory transport pathways, they usually recognize and concentrate cargo proteins into vesicular carriers.

D. SNARE's- ER localized vesicle snare proteins sec-22 plays a major role in anterograde and retrograde transport by generating efficient membrane fusion. In anterograde transport cargo vesicles bud off from ER which are coated with COP-2.

E. Dynamin- plays a role in clatharin dependent endocytosis by acting as a pair of molecular scissors for the newly forming vesicles which comes from the plasma membrane.

Can someone confirm that this is correct. Thanks! 15–26. The proteins involved in vesicle transport must return to their starting place or be degraded. Otherwise you would fill the target membrane with the protein. Match each of the proteins on the left to its appropriate way of return listed on the right. Proteins methods of return A. no need to recycle B. released into cytoplasm C. recycled by vesicles - 15. Cargo receptors in the ER C. recycled by vesicles...

Hagrid has purified a protein from unicom sweat and called UNI-1. He has then doned the Unit gone and inserted in rat zygotes (by microinjection) a recombinant construct containing the Uni-1 coding sequence its entire 5 UTR region, covering both the minimal promoter and a series of cutative regulatory als elements. The mutantrats develop glorious, luminous hair. Hagrid has also discovered that the UNI-1 protein binds very tightly to DNA and hypothesizes it is a transcription factor that regulates proliferation...
