3. Complete the table below. For each test, indicate what you will observe if the test is positive. Then state what a positiv

Iodine is yellow in colour. It is used to detect the presence of starch in a medium. It turns blue black in the presence of starch.

Benedict reagent is a blue coloured reagent. It is used to detect the presence of reducing Sugars like glucose and sucrose. It gives a brick red precipitate when heated in the presence of these sugars.

Bial's reagent is a yellowish reagent. It is used to detect the presence of pentoses with which it gives a bluish colour.
