Answer #1

1. Components of viruses- genome either DNA or RNA, Capsid, envelope

Function of component-

a. Genome - It contain viral gene expression various viral molecules after infecting host cells

b. Capsid- It is protein coat encloses viral genome

C. Envelope- It surround Capsid and may bear spike like structure which act as antireceptor( help for adhesion on host cell)or act as antigen

2. Ans. False

3. Viruses may enter through body opening like mouth, eyes, nose. etc

4. Viruses use hosts ribosome and enzymes for replication and protein synthesis

5. Virus enter host body and infect cell by attachment , penetration, Biosynthesis( viral genome, viral proteins), assembly of virus progeny and release by host cell lysis.

Virus first come in contact with host cell membrane remain attached to receptors of host cell by its antireceptor. Then it penetrate into host cytoplasm . During Biosynthesis viral enzymes, viral genome and proteins synthesised by using hosts biosynthetic machinary. Then all viral proteins and genome assemble into complete virion and they lyse host cell and release out.

6. After viral infection raised body temperature indicate hosts immune system stimulated to destroy viruses.

7. Due to mutation viral coat or envelope protein may change and it couse infection to other species

8. Ans. False

9. Ans. False

10. Still there is no specific treatment for cure covid 19
