Answer #1

45. Answer = TRUE

c4 plants photosynthetically are more efficient than c3 plants as there is no any disadvantage in c4 plants over c3 plants. In C4 plants, chloroplasts are even in present in bundle sheaths and photosysnthesis occur even when stomata are closed.

46. Answer = TRUE

In Anerobic fermentation, During glycolysis, one glucose molecule is converted to two pyruvate molecules, producing two net ATP.

In Citric Acid Cycle, Two molecules of acetyl CoA are produced in glycolysis so the total number of molecules produced in the citric acid cycle is doubled i.e 2 ATP.

47. Answer = FALSE

Plants need both photosynthesis and cellular respiration for ATP production. During Photosynthesis, oxygen and glucose is produced by series of steps. These products are then used in cellular respiration for the production of ATP.

48. Answer = TRUE

In Non competitive inhibition or Allosteric inhibition inhibitor can bind to an enzyme with or without a substrate at different places at the same time. It alters the enzyme conformation as well as its active site which results in the substrate unable to bind to the enzyme effectively. Further In Non competitive inhibitions, inhibitors potency is not affected by the substrate concentration.
