Once the sperm successfully fertilizes the egg, the depolarization of egg membrane caused by sperm binding triggers the fusion of cortical granules to the egg membrane and discharge of their content. This makes vitelline layer hard and cliff off sperm binding receptors from egg membrane to prevent the polyspermy.

So after acrosomal reaction this is the egg membrane that is structurally altered not sperm membrane.

So option C is correct (not true).
