1)If the right ocular set at 64 ,then left ocular set should be at 64 mm

The interpuppilary distance should be 64mm.

2) coarse focus knob is turned away from us to elevate the stage.otherwise the coarse focus knob is rotated in clockwise direction to elevate the stage to the objective lens.

The course focus should be moved first when focusing on the image. After that when the object is in the field then the fine focus knob is rotated to get a clearer image of the object.

Iris Diaphragm controls the amount of light reaching the specimen. It is located above the condenser and below the stage
