Ans) The functions of different types of connective tissue are to Provide movement, insulation,support, adhesion,attachment and transport substances.

Cartilage is responsible for movement and support (Hyaline cartilage provide support) and chondrin provides elasticity.Yellow fibres also possess elastic property (due to elastin protein).Tendons is also connective tissue which provides movement and flexibility.

Adipose connective tissue is responsible for insulation and shock absorption and storage of fat.

Blood is a fluid connective tissue which is responsible for transport.

Areolar connective tissue acts as a binding tissue and keeps the organs in place (forms packing material betweeen tissue and organs).
