The correct option is (d)

It is because the synthesis of misfolded proteins due to spontaneously following a wrong folding pathway. These misfolded proteins create a disbalance for the secretion of new proteins. So, these proteins are either made to fold into their native structures. In case, the proteins dont refold, they are ultimately exported out of endoplasmic reticulum, and then finally degraded by proteasome.
