1). Onion root tip and whitefish blastula are useful tissues for studying cell division (mitosis) because onion root tip and whitefish blastula are the tissues undergoing high rates of cell division. Cell division is occurring at an accelerated rate in the tip of the onion root. A blastula is an embryonic structure that is growing in size, so cell division is also occuring rapidly. After staining these tissues and observing under a microscope, we can see individual cells at different stages of cell division. So these tissues are moremore conven for study cell division.

2). Plants - tip of the root and stem (because mitosis happens in the meristem of the plant that are located at the tip of the root and stem)

Animals- bone marrow and epithelial tissues
