Answer #1

C1V1 = C2V2

95% × 25 = 96% × V2

V2 = 24.73 mL

So, you need 24.73 mL 96% ethanol and (25 - 24.73 = 0.27 mL) diluent.

Please rate high.

    Microbiologists use acid-alcohol when performing a cell stain of the pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A common recipe is to make 3%(wt/vol) HCl in ethanol. HC has a formula weight of 36.46 grams per mole. If the stock solution of HCl is 1 moles per 1000 ml, how many mL of HCI need to be added to achieve a final volume of 100 mL of acid alcohol solution? In part one of the experiment, you will prepare the acid solutions being titrated from a stock solution. Describe how you will accurately prepare 10.00 mL of 0.100 M HCl solution using a 1.00 M HCl stock solution. 10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
