How would you expect a cancer cell to optimize its metabolic turnover so that the requirement for high glucose turnover is balanced with the need for substrates for biosynthesis?

Cancer cells consume a lot of glucose and glutamine for getting lot of energy that they require. Cancer cells grow very rapidly. For which they need lot of energy and raw material for making cytoplasm required. In order to optimize the synthesis of raw materials for making new cells cancer cells under go anaerobic respiration and utilize the product of anaerobic respiration for making amino acids and fatty acids for synthesis of cytoplasm. Anaerobic respiration produces less amount of energy (2ATP) only. That is why cancer cells consume huge amount of glucose which will be sufficient for both energy production and also for the synthesis of protoplasm which is used in making new cells rapidly.
