1. a. genetics and life style choices are two main factors affecting longevity. Increase in life expectancy for the past decades are mainly due to the improvements in sanitation, education and housing. As the socioeconomic status of an individual increases, life expectancy also increases.

b. Growth of human population is determined by birth and death rates which are in turn controlled by a number of biotic and abiotic factors. When the birth rate is higher than the death rate, population will grow rate exponentially and population size tends to decrease as death rate exceeds birth rate.

c. Yes. It is possible when there is high immigration into the population.

d. Yes. Its is possible when there is high rate of emigration from the population.
