The patient was disconnected from bypass. Two chest tubes and a drain were placed. The aortic site was closed with oversewn sutures. The area was irrigated with antibiotic solution. The entrance incisions were closed with Vicryl, and the leg, was wrapped. The sternum was closed with wire and layered suture closures. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was transferred to CICU.
