Answer #1

What is energy-:

In general the word energy refers to a concept that can be paraphrased as "the potential for causing changes", and therefore one can say that energy is the cause of any change. The most common definition of energy is the work that a certain force can do.

Energy can exist in a variety of forms, such as electrical, mechanical, chemical, thermal, or nuclear, and can be transformed from one form to another. In molecules and solids the internal energy is due to the vibration of atoms with respect to their average positions. External energy is the kinetic energy of the movement of the system as a whole. Suppose a 5 kg block of ice is sliding at 15 m/s.

Example of external energy:

Energy that comes from the sun

Solar energy/radiation.

Example of internal energy:

Internal energy comes from radioactive decay and gravitational attractions which keeps Earth's interior warm and in turn, keeps Earth's surface warm. This drives plate movements for the tectonic plates.
