Answer #1

During any exercise, the body works such that it has to provide energy to muscle to work. Therefore, the cardiovascular system, during exercise, redistributes the blood so that maximun of it goes to the working muscles and less of the blood goes to other body organs such as the digestive system. This redirection of blood flow is caused by a mechanism called the vascular shunt mechanism. The blood vessels allow lots of blood migrate to the working muscles but do not allow much to travel to other organs. When the muscles stop working, the blood distribution returns to its normal route.
