Answer #1

Answer :-

Organisms store carbohydrates as polysaccharides rather than as monosaccharides because polysaccharides are complex sugar,in which each monosaccharides are linked with strong bonds and acts as a long term energy source and structural support to cell .whereas monosaccharides are simple sugar which provides energy for short term.

Or

Polysaccharides can be stored for long term whereas monosaccharides cannot be stored for long term therefore organism store carbohydrates as polysaccharides.

Or

If a cell contain more monosaccharides instead of single polysaccharides ,it means cell have more solute as a result more water will entere into a cell causing cell to burst.therefore organism store carbohydrates as polysaccharides.
