y-axis = measure of linkage disequilibrium
x-axis = physical distance on the chromosome
Can someone explain what is happening on this graph
For most of the genes phsical distance on the chromosome is all most around 20kb to 40kb is represented in the graph and linkage equilibrium is around 0.2 to 0.25 approximately.And for few other genes the physical distance is less than 20kb and its linkage equilibrium is around 0.1 which is very less compared to other genes.It represents that measure of linkage equilibrium is directly proportional to the physical distance on the chromosome.
