Splicing

Splicing is the process of removal of introns and joining of Exon. It occurs during RNA processing. Capping and tailing also occurs during RNA processing. There is an addition of methyl guanosine Residue in capping and polyadenine tail in tailing. Both of these processes do not add much in the length of messenger RNA. But the process of splicing is mainly involved in decreasing the length of this RNA.

Sigma factor (second optio )

The Sigma factor is the most important subunit of RNA polymerase enzyme. It is responsible for the recognition of promoter present on DNA. As soon as the promoter region is recognised, RNA polymerase start transcribing the gene from transcription start site.
