1.Bacterium A gains more energy.

2.Because bacterium A have a higher reduction potential compared to Bacterium B since bacterium A uses oxygen as A electron acceptor.

Bacterium B will have lower reduction potential, since it uses inorganic compound like nitrate as a electron acceptor.

3. Bacterium B will choose O2 as a terminal electron acceptor. Because using O2 as a terminal electron acceptor it generates high amount of energy than when nitrate is used. So it will choose oxygen as a terminal electron acceptor.
