Principles of sustainability

The application of sustainability in any environment depends on four principles:

Scope of sustainability: It is the domain or community in which sustainability is applied at home, and its existence is usually associated with a range of social, economic and environmental factors that together constitute full support for sustainability in all its components.

Principles of sustainability

The application of sustainability in any environment depends on four principles:

Scope of sustainability: It is the domain or community in which sustainability is applied at home, and its existence is usually associated with a range of social, economic and environmental factors that together constitute full support for sustainability in all its components.

Consumption: is the rate of utilization of natural ingredients that are an important catalyst for the sustainability of living organisms, and the higher the consumption rate, the more sustainable the life, and vice versa.

Resources: All natural and industrial sources that contribute to sustainability support. When resources are adequate and appropriate to the number of organisms, this will help sustain their life as long as possible. Technology: is the modern scientific influence on the nature of life that leads to its development. When technology is used correctly, it leads to sustainability by providing a range of modern scientific discoveries in industry.

The most important principles of sustainability in our view:

1. technology

The importance of knowledge (and technology as one of its most important elements) is growing in the economy until the twenty-first century economy becomes a feature of knowledge-based economy. Knowledge is an increasingly essential element in the industrial psyche and sustainability, but in the development and sustainability of all sectors of production and services.

This is reflected in the increase in the share of knowledge exports in total exports, as well as the increase in know-how exports, and the export of knowledge services from consulting, information, The cost of knowledge is also increasing in the total cost of products and services. Other phenomena of these changes are that knowledge becomes a commodity, which requires protection and confidentiality. This has led to an increase in the activity of the World Organization for the Protection of Intellectual Property (WIPO) and the conclusion of the TRIPS Agreement. This has also led to a fundamental change in the accounts of fixed assets and intangible assets of companies for intangible assets, which have increased tremendously.

This trend in the economy, from the production of atom-based goods and services, to knowledge-based goods and services, and their bit-making, also changes the production and marketing processes, if knowledge goods are produced once and sold millions of times, Must be produced every time. This change makes the profits of countries that produce knowledge fictitious profits (such as US software companies).

The changes have also increased the importance of education and continuous training of the individual. The duration of education and training has increased as a proportion of the life of the individual. The wages of skilled workers are much higher than others, and unemployment among uneducated workers is increasing.

On the other hand, scientific and technological development offers great opportunities for developing the competitiveness of enterprises and countries and for increasing the national capabilities for sustainable development. This is done by developing the national science and technology system and gradually transforming it into a national innovation system (NIS). The activation of the system of science and technology through the adoption of a policy and strategy to implement this policy, and by strengthening the links and bridges between the components of this system, lead to the creation of a national system of creativity that increases competitiveness and achieves the necessary sustainable development.

2-Consumption

Sustainable consumption and production patterns relate to the promotion of resource and energy efficiency, sustainability of infrastructure, access to basic services, decent and environmentally friendly jobs and improved quality of life for all. The application of sustainable consumption and production patterns will help to achieve comprehensive development plans, reduce future economic, environmental and social costs, strengthen economic competitiveness and reduce poverty.

Sustainable consumption and production patterns aim to "produce more better and at lower cost" and to increase net welfare gains from economic activities by reducing the use of resources, reducing their degradation and resulting pollution throughout the life cycle while increasing the quality of life. Involving various stakeholders, including employers, consumers, policy makers, researchers, scientists, retailers, the media and development cooperation agencies.

It also requires a methodology for approaches and cooperation among supply chain actors, from producer to consumer. Including, inter alia, consumer involvement through awareness and education of sustainable consumption and life patterns, adequate consumer information through standards and labeling, and involvement in sustainable public procurement.
