Key physical characteristics common in flatworms, arthropods and chordates are:-

* They all exhibit bilateral symmetry.

* They have common germ layers  character as triploblastic, called protosomes.

The Flatworms belong to phylum Platyhelminthes and they show bilateral symmetry and triploblastic germ layer formation.

The Arthropods are group of organisms belong to phylum Arthropoda show bilateral symmetry and exhibit triploblastic germ layer nature.

And the Chordates are the organisms belong phylum Chordata, they also have bilateral symmetry and triploblastic germ layer formation.
