The two career options in the health care industry are :

General practitioners:
This career option also called physicians provide both preventive as well as curative care to the patients. They look after to the general needs of patients and diagnose the patient then refer them to specialists if required.

Job Responsibilities:
General practictioners provide primary treatment to the patients facing acute or chronic diseases, or any such physical ailments.

e.g fever, cold, bp, head ache, thyroid diabetes etc.

Patients first get diagnosed and treated by general practitioners, therefore they are supposed to be available for them all the time , they have day and night shifts.

They have to maintain records of patients who have recieved treatment in the hospital through them for future addressal.

They moreover need to document medications offered, status of patient, referral to other departments etc.

They are also required to treat injured and patients met with accidents as long as they do not require surgery or operation.

Education:
To be a General practictioner or a physician, an individual is required to have :

A 7 year MBBS degree
A training or house job for a period of 6 months.
MD of four years (additional)
A complete residency program.

Average salary:
For initial years, the freshers get an expected salary of about $ 726 US. and above.
For those with experience, of more than two years, will be expected to recieve a salary more than $ 1453 US.

Nursing:
It is the career option which comes in ancillary services, meaning there by , the service in medical care which supports the primary health care services.

Job responsibilities
It is much dynamic and diversified career path, demanding full attention and efforts to ensure full patient wellbeing both physical as well as mental.

Nursing job requires supporting medical practictioners in conducting their treatment, surgeries, diagnosis etc.
It involves recording and interpreting patient info and looking after them for ensuring they are comfortable.

Nurses share the duties of practictioners, by proving medication, injections, band aid , meals etc to the patients.

They work in all the locations of hospitlas or clinics, like OT, OPD, IPD, delivery wards , casual wards, etc.
Working hours are usually long but job is performed in shifts.

Qualification:
To be a nurse one needs to have practiced a graduate degree of four years.
House job or training in proper medical environment.
Internship in a reputed medical organizations. (Additional)

Salary
Starting salary is expected to be between $88-
$ 290
And for experience of more than two years, is more than $290

The basic two differences between health care professionals and allied health care professionals:

Health care professionals :

These refer to the personnel related to medicine who not only provide preventive and curative measures but are also engaged in conducting research, and study for further analysis and discovering new cure , treatment and medicine so don't thus require a high medical degree, and experience. They many fall in three parts : Nursing, pharmacy and medicine
Examples include doctors, surgeons, Specialist, researchers.
They operate through web in the form of advising specialists, distant surgeon, mob clinics etc.

While as the allied health care is the branch of medicines offering wide range of operations that do not usually require a particular medical degree, e. g technicians.
They support the primary health care by facitting diagnosis and reflecting on the status of patients.

Examples are: Diagnostic, hygienists ,technicians, therapeutics, radiologists etc

Talking about medical professionals, they perform surgeries, cure diseases and prevent death.
While as allied professionals facilitate, diagnoses by reflecting the cause of disease, ailment and assisting the medical professionals in diagnosing.
e. g the MRI techs, who operate the machines and have this more knowledge about technology as they deal with most the equipments and thus play more essential role in e- activity.
