Poisons that kill an organism as a result of loss of high energy ATP molecules targets mitochondria. Since mitochondria is a power house of the cell, that produces ATP - the energy currency. If the production of ATP reduces, that organism is unable to do the metabolic functions normally. If metabolism affects directly that organism is unable to survive.

One of the example for mitochondrial toxic substance is cyanide. Cyanide attacks cytochrome of mitochondria and stops electron transport pathway and halts the ATP synthesis via oxidative phosphorylation.

Cytoplasm, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, cytoskeleton were not directly involved in the synthesis of ATP so these are not the answers for the above question. The right option is Mitochondria.
