1. Differences between Classification Rules and Action Rules:
The main difference between classification and action rules is on a syntactical level. Classification rules have only one attribute in their resultant, where the action rules can have more than one attribute in their resultant. Additionally, the classification and action rules can also be distinguished according to the symmetry of the attributes being extracted. Classification is asymmetric with respect to attributes, as in this task it is intended to calculate the value of a special, user-defined objective attribute based on the values of all the other attributes. By distinction, it is said that the action task is symmetric with respect to attributes, as no attribute is given special behavior in this task which means that any attribute can occur either in the rule precursor or in the rule resultant.
