2) The fungi are generally microscopic, heterotrophic or saprophytic organisms that can be found everywhere; inside & outside of the host (both animals and plants) as well as on dead organic matters. Most of the species of fungi are harmful or disease causing but some of them have great ecological important in the field of medicine (antibiotics & vaccines), due to their saprophytic mode of nutrition, several fungal species contribute a major part of scavenger of dead organic matter & proved beneficial biotic factor of environment.

3) Matching the divisions of fungi to their respective best example ;-

1. Rusts and Smuts --- Basidiomycota

2. Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis --- Chytridiomycota

3. Pilobolus species --- Zygomycota

4. Penicillium and Aspergillus species --- Ascomycota

5. Morels and Peziza sp. --- Ascomycota

6. Earth stars, puffballs and bracket fungi --- Basidiomycota

7. Mucor and Rhizopus sps. --- Zygomycota

8. Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae --- Ascomycota

9. Mycorrhizae --- Basidiomycota, Ascomycota, and Zygomycota

4) Chytridiomycota are considered as oldest and most primitive division of fungi, that appeared during late Cambrian period about 500 million years ago.
