Answer #1

Ans- the three types of motion are as follows-

Linear motion ( ttranslatoy motion)- when the body moves straight or curved and all the body parts move in same direction.

Angular motion - when the body or its part move in a circle at a point called axis of rotation.

General motion - it is combination of linear and angular motion.

The motion are used to generate power to perform an action like in linear motion the force is applied in a straight or curved line which produce displacement or movement of the object , in the same manner in angular motion the force is applied over a point which does not apply on the whole body of object but on a small axis of rotation which cause to move object on a angle. In general motion both type of force will be applied which will cause both angular and linear movement.

The advantage of linear motion is that the force is applied on the whole body or one whole part of body but the disadvantage is that the object will move only straight or curved totally but not a specific part of it can't be moved at its axis while in angular motion the object may move at an angle but the complete body of object can't be moved. General motion does not have these type of disadvantage.
